Defibrillator now installed.

We are pleased to announce that the Defibrillator has been installed at Lund Church to cover the Church, the Community Hall and surrounding area.

It was back in June of last year that Margaret Collinge on retiring as Churchwarden suggested, as her retiring project, that we install a Defibrillator.  Inspired by Margaret, fundraising began, and due to the generosity of parishioners and a negotiated donation from NatWest Bank we had sufficient funds by the end of the year.

Jeff was able to order and take delivery of the Defib.

After much deliberation as to where the machine should be installed it was decided to site it on the Church wall to the left of the main door.  Jeff arranged installation and in early January the big day came and it was installed.

We then spent some time registering the equipment and are pleased to say that it is now up and running.  Full instructions as to gaining entry to the box are listed on the casing and we understand that it is easy to use, instructions being relayed by voice when defibrillator is opened.

Please familiarise yourselves with the instructions on the casing but we do hope and pray that the use of the machine is never needed.
