“Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their lives.” Proverbs 22: 6
Within the Parish of Lund, we place great value the role of children and young people in our community. We take seriously our responsibility to create opportunities for children to worship in age-related worship services which allow them the opportunity to worship in ways that are relevant and meaningful to them. Lund Parish Church has received the Diocese of Blackburn Award as a “Child Friendly Church”.
Children’s Liturgy is a Service designed for children and parents. It lasts approx. 30 to 40 minutes and contains activities, stories and songs and, concludes with a short Service of Holy Communion. Children’s Liturgy takes place on a Sunday at 12-15pm usually once a month. See Services page for details.
“Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Mark 10: 14
Family Parish Eucharist’s take place several times during the year on occasions such as Mothering Sunday, Civic Sunday, Remembrance Sunday and Harvest Thanksgiving. On these occasions we are joined by the young people of our Uniformed Organisations who take part in the Service.
